Privacy Policy

Audacious Foundation uses personal data about individuals for the purposes of general charity administration and communication. This includes the day-to-day administration of the foundation, keeping you informed of activities, events and appeals and transferring your data to service providers, such as MailChimp, to enable fulfilment of the purpose for collection. Data may also be used for statistical analysis, in order to gain a better understanding of who visits Audacious Foundation online.

How we collect data and information about you?

We collect personal information each time you are in contact with us. For example, when you visit our website, register your details using one of our online forms, or make a donation.

We also gather such information when you personally provide your details to Audacious Foundation, communicate with us, take part in face to face activities, or access social media platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, WhatsApp, Twitter and Instagram.

How will we handle your data?

Audacious Foundation recognises the importance of the correct and lawful treatment of personal data. In accordance with our Data Protection Policy all personal data, held in any format, will be subject to the appropriate legal safeguards as specified in the General Data Protection Regulation 2017. Audacious Foundation also endorses and adheres to the eight principles of the GDPR. These principles specify the legal conditions that must be satisfied in relation to obtaining, handling, processing, transportation and storage of personal data.

Will my data remain confidential?

Audacious Foundation will treat all your personal information as private and confidential. We will never give your information to other organisations to use for their own purposes. In exceptional circumstances, we may disclose your details if we are required by law to do so, when there is a duty to the public, or when disclosure is required to protect your interest. We may also disclose your details at your request with your consent. As such, anyone handling your data at Audacious Foundation will be required to agree and sign a Confidentiality Policy, in accordance with out Data Protection Policy.

Do I have rights to access and/or amend my information?

If personal details change, they can be amended upon request via the contact details below. Audacious Foundation will also comply with requests for access to personal information as quickly as possible, ensuring that it is provided within 30 days of receipt of a completed form, unless there is good reason for delay. You also have the right to unsubscribe or ‘opt-out’ from communications at any time. Any person who wishes to exercise this right should make the request in writing to the Audacious Foundation Data Officer, using the standard letter which is available online from www.ico.gov.uk.
